Attending Infosecurity 2023 at ExCeL London – 20 and 21 June 2023

Attending Infosecurity 2023 at ExCeL London – 20 and 21 June 2023

On Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21 June 2023 I will be attending Infosecurity 2023 at ExCeL in London.

Infosecurity Europe is the biggest gathering of the information security industry in Europe. Each year, they bring the cyber security and infosec community together to share innovation, learn from each other, test and benchmark solutions, build relationships, drive new business and connect with colleagues.

The leading suppliers choose Infosecurity Europe as an opportunity to launch new technologies, products and services. It’s a vital resource for senior buyers to make key investment decisions and every stakeholder comes for the insight necessary to stay ahead in cybersecurity’s rapidly evolving game. If you’re in the industry, you’ll want to be here.

During the 2 days that I will be at the event I will be meeting, with my work colleauges in-person from Qualitest, none of whom I have actually met in person yet as we are a “remote first” organisation, attending the annual “Women in Cyber Security” event on 21 June and I am currently nursing a potential speaking opportunity on 20th June. If this is confirmed, I will share further details here.

I am not going to be at this event for all 3 days, but I will maximise and make the most of the 2 days that I will be there.

To register to attend, click here. If you would like to arrange to meet with me at Infosec on either 20th or 21st June, please contact me via enquiries@lisaventura.co.uk.

Virtual Speaking Event: The Future of Cyber Security Conference – Thursday 15 June 2023

On Thursday 15th June 2023 I will be speaking at a virtual event entitled “The Future of Cyber Security“.

Chaired by Professor Ciaran Martin, former CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), this event follows Cyber News Group’s highly successful run of conferences in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Attracting an exclusive audience of senior industry executives, the online/virtual conference will feature topics relevant to the ‘post COVID-19’ remote working environment as the ever-increasing number of employees across all industries continue to work from home.

I will share details of the talk I will be doing and the time it will be taking place soon.

Opening up the Conversation Around Imposter Syndrome and Providing Resources to Manage it

It is estimated that 70% of all employees experience some degree of imposter syndrome at work, and this figure is increasing. Imposter Syndrome is referring to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be. It can be debilitating and affect the mental health of those who suffer from it greatly.

The aim of International Impostor Syndrome Awareness Day is to highlight imposter syndrome, how it affects people and to provide help and resources for those who are suffering from it.

We have some great live events on the day and the schedule is as follows:

11.00am: Webinar – Reframe Your Imposter by Denise Chester

Virtual Event/Webinar: Utilising Gender Pay Gap Reports – 31 May 2023

Virtual Event/Webinar: Utilising Gender Pay Gap Reports – 31 May 2023

Date: Wednesday 31 May 2023
Time: 11.00am
Virtual Talk: Register Here

In 2017, UK organisations with over 250 employees were required by law to publish information around their gender pay gap. The gender pay gap is an equality measure which calculates the difference in hourly earnings between women and men, closing the UK’s gender pay gap has been a consistent struggle for several years with minimal progression. The COVID-19 pandemic had a direct impact on the progression of equal gender pay, as the gap widened from 14.9% in 2020 to 15.4% in 2021. Pay gaps are direct indicators of systematic diversity and inclusion problems within the business and help shine a light on areas in need of improvement.

During this webinar, I will delve into gender pay gap reporting and discuss how organisations can utilize their reports to close the gap to create equal pay for every employee.
