Further to the announcement I made last week that I am a finalist in the “Security Leader/Mentor” category in this year’s Security Serious Unsung Heroes Awards, I was proud and honoured to be asked to write a blog to support my inclusion as a finalist in the awards.

The blog has been included on the IT Security Guru website and can be found here – https://www.itsecurityguru.org/2019/09/17/fortune-favours-the-bold/.

I wanted to get across the fact that my journey into the cyber security industry hasn’t been a linear one, and there have been many twists and turns to it over the last decade. I fell into the cyber security industry by accident through working with my ex-husband at his company Titania Ltd ten years ago, and it has been quite a journey, but I feel that my work in cyber security is only just beginning.

Good luck to all the other finalists in my category, and to all the finalists in all the other categories of this year’s Security Serious Unsung Heroes Awards. I look forward to meeting you all on October 2nd 2019 at the awards ceremony in London!
