I am an award-winning cyber security specialist whose career spans over 23 years. I entered the cyber security industry in 2009 when I became the Chief Operations Officer/PR & Marketing Director at Titania Ltd, a leading cyber security software development company based in the West Midlands, UK.

During my time at Titania I saw the company grow from a start-up to a successful business with members of staff, offices and a network of distributors and resellers globally. Since my time at Titania I have utilised my experience and expertise in cyber security in many other organisations including BT, Pinsent Masons, BlueVoyant, CyBourn, Proficio Inc, the UK Cyber Security Council and more as a Cyber Security Awareness Consultant.

I have a huge interest in the human aspects of cyber security and in raising as much awareness as possible of the growing cyber threat, not only to businesses of all sizes but also to the general public. As such, I am the Founder of Cyber Security Unity (formerly the UK Cyber Security Association). Cyber Security Unity is a global community in cyber security that aims to unite the cyber security industry worldwide to combat the growing cyber threat. I strongly believe that we are stronger together as an industry to help combat the growing cyber threat, and through my work at Cyber Security Unity my aim is to bring the industry together and end the long-standing siloed working in cyber security that has been so prevalent.

I have a strong interest in the following areas:

• Supporting women into careers in cyber security
• Supporting those who are neurodiverse or from different backgrounds into careers in cyber security
• Bullying, abuse and narcissism in cyber security
• Mental health issues, stress, and burnout – especially in relation to the cyber security industry
• Imposter syndrome
• Equality and diversity
