I founded Neuro Unity to bring neurodivergent and neurotypical people together to champion neuroinclusion across every sector.
I was diagnosed as autistic and with ADHD at 48. Everything Neuro Unity does is shaped by that, and by the years before it when I did not have the language for why some environments cost me so much more than they cost other people.
What Neuro Unity Does
Accessibility audits. We assess websites and apps against the needs of neurodivergent users, looking at navigation, readability and overall usability, then give clear recommendations you can act on.
Advocacy and policy engagement. We work with organisations and communities to promote neuroinclusive policy and to challenge assumptions about what a capable colleague looks like.
Support groups and meet ups. We host virtual and in person spaces where peer support is led by people who understand the experience from the inside.
Workplace training. In partnership with Thrive Neurodiversity and Mental Health, we deliver training that helps organisations build cultures where neurodivergent staff can do their best work.
Campaigns and knowledge sharing. From awareness campaigns to our Knowledge Hub, we gather guidance on neurodiversity, the NHS diagnostic pathway, support services, charities and practical how-to material in one place.
Why It Matters
Most workplaces were designed around an assumed way of thinking, communicating and processing information. When that assumption goes unexamined, talented people spend their energy managing the environment rather than doing the work.
Changing the environment is usually cheaper, faster and fairer than asking people to mask their way through it.
