KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

Below are some of my key achievements from the course of my career to date:

PVA MANAGEMENT

I joined PVA Management Ltd in 1995 until 2002, where I worked with a wide range of prolific TV and Radio presenters including Chris Tarrant, John Kettley, Richard Allinson, Les Ross, Ed Doolan and Simon Lycett.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE

I oversaw “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” go from a format on paper called “Cash Mountain” to a massively successful global TV quiz show with Chris Tarrant as the host of the show in the late 1990’s/early 2000’s. So successful was the show at its height that it regularly beat soap operas such as “Eastenders” in the TV ratings war.

WORCESTER THREE CHOIRS FESTIVAL FRINGE

I worked to launch the first ever Worcester Three Choirs Festival Fringe in 1999, which became the Worcester Festival in 2002 which still runs today, and I sat on the Committee of the Worcester Festival from 2009 to 2012.

WORCESTER MUSIC FESTIVAL

I oversaw the launch of the Worcester Music Festival in 2008 and was Chairman of the Festival from 2007-2009.

WORCESTERSHIRE LITERARY FESTIVAL

I founded and launched the Worcestershire Literary Festival in 2010 which ran from 2011 to 2013.

WORCESTERSHIRE WELCOME TOURISM AWARDS

I won a “Highly Commended” Award at the Worcestershire Welcome Tourism Awards in 2012 for my work with the 2011 Worcestershire Literary Festival.

FRANKIE'S LEGACY BLOG

I founded my award winning blog Frankie’s Legacy in November 2013.

BUTTERFLY AWARDS FINALIST 2014

I was a finalist in The Butterfly Award’s “Most Inspirational Mother” category in October 2014.

MUMPRENEUR UK AWARDS FINALIST

I was a finalist in the “Volunteer Champion” category in the Mumpreneur UK awards in 2014.

WONDERFUL WORCESTERSHIRE WOMEN AWARDS

I was a finalist in the “Most Significant Achievement” category in the Wonderful Worcestershire Women awards in 2016.

BEACON BEST SHINING LIGHT AWARDS

I won a “Highly Commended” award in the Beacon Best Shining Light awards in the Volunteer category in 2016.

CYBER GEEK GIRL

I founded my award winning blog Cyber Geek Girl in May 2017.

LIFE, BODY, SOUL, SPIRIT

I founded my blog Life Body Soul Spirit with a view to it being a platform to gaining my Reiki 1, 2 and Masters certifications.

CORINIUM GLOBAL INTELLIGENCE

I joined Corinium Global Intelligence as a Content Marketing & Editorial Director in 2017, heading up their new content department.

WONDERFUL WORCESTERSHIRE WOMEN AWARDS

I was nominated in the Significant Achievement category in the Wonderful Worcestershire Awards in January 2018.

LAUNCHED VENTURE CONTENT MARKETING, PR & DIGITAL

I launched Venture Content Marketing, PR & Digital as a consultancy organisation through which I worked with a wide variety of clients in the cyber security and technology space.

CEO & FOUNDER

I became the CEO and Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association, the UK’s first membership association dedicated solely to individuals and organisations working in cyber security.

JOINED the uk cyber security council

I joined the UK Cyber Security Council to oversee the next evolution of their development as the government’s professionalisation and standards body for the cyber security industry, and dto shine a light on cyber security as a career pathway,

FOUNDER

I launched Cyber Security Unity, a cyber security community aimed at uniting the cyber security industry globally to combat the growing cyber threat. The ethos behind Cyber Security Unity was that  we are stronger together as an industry.

JOINED Quality AI (Formerly QUALITEST)

I joined Qualitest, the world’s leading AI-powered quality engineering company, as a Senior Cyber Security Awareness and Culture Change Specialist.

AWARDED AN MBE

In June 2023 I was awarded an MBE for services to cyber security and to diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion (DEIB) in King Charles III’s first birthday honours list.

Co-Founded International Imposter Syndrome Awareness Day

I co-founded International Imposter Syndrome Awareness Day, an annual awareness day created to open up honest conversation about imposter syndrome and its impact on confidence, careers and wellbeing.

Fellowship Of The Chartered Institute Of Information Security

I was awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (FCIIS), recognising my contribution to the information security profession.

Founded Unity Group Solutions Limited

I founded Unity Group Solutions Limited, my cyber security awareness, strategic communications and thought leadership consultancy. Through it I work with organisations to build security awareness programmes and cultures that are empowerment led, trauma informed and neuroinclusive, rejecting the fear based and “human firewall” framing that has dominated the industry for so long.

Founded The AI And Cyber Security Association

I am Founder and CEO of the AI and Cyber Security Association (AICSA), the world’s first global trade association focused on the convergence of artificial intelligence and cyber security. The AICSA brings together practitioners, researchers, vendors and policymakers to shape standards, share knowledge and address the risks and opportunities that arise where these two disciplines meet.

Founded Cyber Kindness

I founded Cyber Kindness, an initiative created to challenge the toxicity, gatekeeping and bullying that too many people encounter in the cyber security industry, and to promote kindness, mentorship and psychological safety as professional standards rather than optional extras.

Founded Neuro Unity

I am the Founder of Neuro Unity, which advocates for genuine neuroinclusion in the workplace and across the cyber security and technology sectors. Neuro Unity exists to help organisations move beyond awareness statements and into practical, everyday adjustments that allow neurodivergent people to do their best work.

Founded AI Unity

I founded AI Unity, a community focused initiative bringing people together to explore the practical, ethical and human implications of artificial intelligence, and to make the conversation about AI accessible to those outside specialist technical roles.

Published Artificial Intelligence In Cybersecurity

My book Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity was published by Kogan Page in April 2026, examining how AI is reshaping both the threat landscape and the defences organisations rely on, and what that means for the people working in security.

Published Human Factors In Cyber Security

My book Human Factors in Cyber Security was published by BPB Publications, drawing on more than 16 years of security awareness practice to set out why the human element is the most important and most misunderstood part of cyber security.

Won the SSFE Lifetime Achievement Award

I won the SSFE Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of my work across cyber security, awareness and inclusion in April 2026.

The Independent Impact 50

In May 2026 I was named in The Independent Impact 50, which recognises the fifty most impressive independent PR and communications practitioners working in the UK today. 

The Princess Royal's WISE Lifetime Achievement Award

I am a finalist for The Princess Royal’s WISE Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognises sustained contribution to women in science, technology and engineering.

Founded Infosec Lunch Hour

I created and run the monthly #InfosecLunchHour, an informal community networking event that gives people in cyber security an accessible, low-pressure space to connect, share and support one another.  I founded it in 2020 during the pandemic and it still runs monthly today.

Founding The Rise of the Cyber Women and The Varied Origins of the Cyber Men Book Series

I created and compiled the Rise of the Cyber Women and Varied Origins of the Cyber Men book series, which has run to four volumes since 2020, giving people in cyber security and technology a place to tell their own stories in their own words.

Keynote Speaking And Thought Leadership

I speak regularly as a keynote speaker at conferences and events internationally on cyber security awareness, the human factor, neuroinclusion and the convergence of AI and cyber security, and I write and publish thought leadership on these subjects on an ongoing basis.

Co-Founded The Retro Tech Hub

My husband and I have RetroTechHub, a vintage and retro computing project dedicated to rescuing, repairing and preserving the home computers and consoles of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
