Announcing the Launch of my New YouTube Channel
Thanks to my wonderful husband Russell, I now have my own YouTube channel 😊 😊 You can visit it here – https://www.youtube.com/@CyberSecurityLisa.
My channel is an “online CV/showreel” with a selection of talks, webinars, interviews and panel discussions I’ve done in the hope that it interests anyone who stumbles upon it to consider booking me as a speaker, panellist or interviewer for their event. As I get more bookings and do more talks, I’ll share them on my channel.
I’m also planning to launch a podcast/interview series, but that will be on a separate as yet to be named and set up channel. Big thanks to my International Imposter Syndrome Awareness Day Co-Founder Nat Schooler for his advice on this.
Let me know what you think of my channel and please pop over to YouTube and subscribe to it 😊

About FundApps
FundApps is one of the original RegTech pioneers. We were founded in 2010 with first-hand experience of the ever-increasing regulatory burden. Equipped with the insight that each and every asset manager needlessly struggles with the same tasks to comply with the same regulation, we used the combination of cloud computing and regulatory expertise to launch the first Compliance-As-A-Service (CaaS) for financial institutions.
Today, our service helps make compliance simple for over one hundred of the largest financial institutions and monitors US$14 trillion daily in assets on behalf of our clients.
Proud to be a Finalist in the Computing Security Excellence 2023 Awards
I’m over the moon to say that I’ve been shortlisted as a finalist in the “Security Woman of the Year” category in this years Computing Security Excellence awards, I can’t believe it! I’m in the same category as cyber security industry stalwarts Lianne Potter (who is also a great friend of mine) and Wendy Goucher, so my imposter syndrome went through the roof when I got the news.
The awards ceremony is on 27 April, sadly I don’t think I can be there in person as it clashes with the National Cyber Security Show in Birmingham. But to whoever nominated me for this award, if you are reading this, thank you so much, it means the world to me to be recognised for my work in the cyber security industry.
More information about the awards and the shortlist can be found here, and good luck to all the finalists in all categories for 27 April.
Pressing the “Pause” Button till 14 April 2023
This is an update from me to say that I’ve decided to close off my diary for any new talks (in-person or virtual) unless they are paid opportunities between now and 14 April 2023. This is because as well as my day job I will be focusing on delivering International Imposter Syndrome Awareness Day on 13 April and working on the new monthly event that I’ll be launching on the back of what was #InfosecLunchHour in my spare time.
I’ve got the following talks/events to do between now and 14 April though:
February
Wednesday 22 February 2023, 10.15am – Virtual Deskflix event, Security in the Cloud: Fostering Greater Collaboration in Cloud Security to Combat the Growing Cyber Threat.
Wednesday 22 February 2023, 12.00pm – Virtual Thrive Mental Health and Neurodiversity Webinar, The Importance of Neuro-inclusion for Better Mental Health.
Monday 27 February 2023, 12.30pm, Virtual ISACA Mental Health Webinar – Avoiding Overload: Managing Stress and Burnout in Cyber Security (for ISACA members only)
March
Tuesday 28 March 2023, FundApps In-Person event in London, speaking slot TBA.
April
Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 April – In-Person event, UK Cyber Week London – speaking on 5 April at 3.30pm: Stronger Together: Fostering Greater Collaboration in the Cyber Security Industry to Combat the Growing Cyber Threat.
I am conscious about spreading myself too thinly and always have regular schedule/diary reviews to make sure I’m not overloaded and risk a period of burnout. My mental health and not doing too much is so important to me, I’ve had burnout a few times and it is not at all fun.
Please do feel free to contact me via enquiries@lisaventura.co.uk with any speaking opportunities post 14 April, both virtual and in-person, and I will happily consider them.
